Villa Healthcare is seeking a Recreational Services Aide in Detroit to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.

The role requires high school education or equivalent, with preferred healthcare experience. Duties include guiding residents to activities, partnering with families, and providing input to assessments. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and communicates in English.
• Relates positively to residents, families and staff.
• Leads groups in activities with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements activity programming as planned to meet resident needs and interests.
• Assists residents to and from activities and outings.
• Maintains rapport with families and encourages their involvement.
• Provides input to assessments of resident participation.
• Communicates concerns to supervisor.
• Supports residents' routines and preferences.
• All other duties as assigned.
