Job summary

PACS is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative and interactive activities program that meets residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial needs in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines.

Your role includes planning monthly calendars, coordinating outings, assisting with assessments, and ensuring clear communication with residents, families, and staff. The job emphasizes resident-focused care and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and conducting activities for individuals and groups.
• Assist in communication between staff, residents, families, and outside agencies to meet resident needs.
• Help develop monthly activity calendars and maintain attendance records.
• Assist in creating and updating activity care plans and resident assessments.
• Arrange transportation for residents as needed for outings, appointments, or discharge.
• Encourage resident participation in hobbies, crafts, and reading activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure Activity Department.
