Job summary

PACS is seeking an Activities Assistant to support planning and execution of resident activities in a long-term care setting. You will assist with communication among staff, residents, families, and community partners, and help ensure the facility meets residents' needs.

Typical duties include creating monthly activity calendars, maintaining attendance, and supporting discharge planning and resident assessments as requested by the Activity Director.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferable one year experience in a long term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures. Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and conducting of individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in communication between employees, residents, families, and the public to meet resident needs.
• Assist in development of monthly activity calendar and attendance records.
