Job Summary:

We are seeking an Activities Director to join our team! As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the events and activities our participants experience on a daily basis. This will include making a schedule of events, planning seasonal activities or outings, and coordinating with other staff members (including nurses and aides) to ensure there is something for every resident to be involved in. The ideal candidate enjoys planning events and outings, has strong interpersonal and communication skills, and possesses a compassionate, considerate personality.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create a monthly plan of activities and events for residents of all skill and ability levels to enjoy.
  2. Work with other staff members and talk with residents to find out their interests, likes, and dislikes.
  3. Accompany residents on outings, as needed.
  4. Manage the budget of the department appropriately.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a similar residential facility desired.
  2. Previous event or activity planning experience desired.
  3. Compassionate, understanding personality.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills.
