Job summary

Westhill Collierville in Collierville, TN is seeking staff to organize and lead engaging resident activities. You will plan monthly calendars, coordinate events, supervise outings, and support volunteers while maintaining safety and empathy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Creates and adheres to a monthly activity calendar.
• Speaks to and interacts with residents at all levels of care with empathy and respect.
• Coordinates special events for residents, families and staff.
• Transports and supervises residents on outings and doctor’s visits.
• Screens, recruits, trains, and coordinates all volunteers.
• Maintains a clean, safe and orderly environment for residents.
• Provides training and support to staff to meet performance standards.
• Acts as facilitator and takes minutes at resident council meetings.
• Follows up on concerns voiced at resident council meetings.
• Provides resolutions for reports and documents resolutions at the next council meeting.
• Observes and reports changes in residents' health and emotional condition.
• Demonstrates ability to set and manage priorities.
• Responds promptly to residents' requests for assistance (phone, family, visitors).
• Communicates effectively in a language residents understand.
• Observes and reports safety hazards to supervisor.
• Practices safe body mechanics and working habits.
• Knows and follows policies in emergencies.
• Essential personnel during emergencies/inclement weather.
• Works as a team with associates and management.
• Demonstrates positive, respectful attitude about policies and procedures.
• Treats residents, families, visitors, and staff with respect.
• Complies with attendance and call-off policy.
• Attends trainings and mandatory meetings.
• Wears appropriate dress per policy.
• Refrains from discussing resident care with families; refers inquiries to supervisor.
• Enhances SRI experience in zestful activities for residents.
• Demonstrates SRI core value of the golden rule.
• Takes initiative and seeks solutions beyond regular duties.
