Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and lead a monthly calendar of wellness-based programs for residents. You will collaborate with the program team to arrange events, outings, and personalized activities that reflect residents’ interests and needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years experience desirable.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative, engaging and passionate about working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing a monthly program of activities based on wellness dimensions.
• Lead 6–7 high quality programs per day.
• Survey residents to determine interests and satisfaction with programs.
• Coordinate with the program team to plan calendars, events, and outings.
• Build relationships with residents and families to promote participation and satisfaction.
• Document and maintain records; assist in resident council meetings.
• Organize and stage programming areas and supplies; recruit and oversee volunteers.
• Promote programs with notices and posters; assist with transportation for activities.
