The student position requires active enrollment, works at least 16 hours per week, and involves training, staff meetings, and administrative duties. Training will be provided and supervision is close.

Qualifications

• Must be an active student in good academic standing (GPA 2.3+ undergrad or 3.0+ graduate).
• No direct experience required; training provided.
• Must be enrolled in six or more semester hours to be eligible for student employment in fall/spring; three+ hours in summer or upcoming fall.

Responsibilities

• Understands and enforces university policies and Residence Life guidelines.
• Maintains ongoing communication with departmental staff.
• Displays a professional attitude and supports students and staff.
• Works the residence hall front desk at least 16 hours per week.
• Addresses and informs hall staff of student conduct concerns.
• Remains available to students at the desk.
• Acts as a referral agent to campus/community resources.
• Keeps residents and staff informed of activities.
• Attends staff trainings and meetings; participates in in-service sessions.
• Completes administrative duties and paperwork for desk operations.
• Ensures building security and safety.
