Job summary

National Emergency Management and Response seeks reservist EMTs to support incident response. Roles are intermittent, not full-time, and require readiness within 24–48 hours for deployments.

Current EMT-Intermediate or Advanced EMT certification is required, with Texas certification preferred where applicable. Reservists may be deployed to various incidents, including hurricanes, mass casualty events, and wildfires.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT-Intermediate or Advanced EMT certification/licence required.
• Texas state certification preferred (if not primary state of residence).
• NREMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual.
• Maintain active status within agency platforms and learning management systems.
• Provide medical support or transport services based on the mission assignment.
• Provide patient care based on certification level and medical protocols.
• Identify and report safety concerns and ensure team safety.
