Job summary

AXIS Capital in New York is seeking a Reserving Analytics professional to turn complex data into clear, trusted insights for reserving decisions. You will collaborate across Reserving, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, and Data & Analytics to understand needs and deliver impactful dashboards and datasets.

You will shape the analytics roadmap, build interactive tools, and promote AI-enabled insights with governance to support senior stakeholders and drive better portfolio understanding.

Qualifications

• Experience in data, analytics, actuarial, finance, or a related insurance or reinsurance role.
• Ability to lead through influence and work with technical teams to deliver value.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Experience creating dashboards, datasets, visualizations, or self-service tools to show performance and trends.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with the Reserving team and related stakeholders to understand processes and needs.
• Help define the reserving analytics roadmap to deliver clear value for the team and business.
• Design and deliver dashboards, datasets, and self-service tools that provide clearer views of loss development, claims experience, and exposure changes.
• Replace static reporting with interactive insight solutions that support exploration of trends and testing of assumptions.
• Collaborate with actuarial, finance, claims, underwriting, and data & analytics teams to deliver trusted, clearly defined reserving data and insights.
