Job summary

AXIS Capital in New York is seeking a Head of Insights & Analytics to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering analytics, dashboards, and AI solutions that support underwriting, claims, and financial performance.

You will shape a data‑driven culture, partner with senior leaders, and drive governance and innovation while aligning with regulatory requirements. Base salary range is $280k–$325k USD.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of analytics teams in insurance.
• Hands-on delivery of data-driven insights and AI solutions.
• Strong communication with business stakeholders across functions.
• Experience building dashboards, KPIs, and MI for decision making.
• Familiarity with data governance and regulatory compliance in insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary analytics team (BI, data science, AI) to deliver insights and business value.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance and operations to align analytics with goals.
• Oversee end-to-end analytics delivery from data exploration to deployment and monitoring.
• Develop dashboards and reports that provide a single source of truth across metrics.
• Establish governance, standards, and best practices for analytics and data usage.
