Job summary

AXIS Capital in New York is seeking a Head of Insights & Analytics – North America to lead analytics, data science and AI initiatives that empower underwriting teams to make better, faster decisions.

You will translate business priorities into data products, drive adoption of AI solutions across underwriting, and partner with data science, AI engineers and technology teams to scale capabilities while ensuring governance and risk controls.

Qualifications

10+ years in analytics, business intelligence, data science or AI
3+ years leading teams within complex organisations
3+ years partnering with insurance underwriting or specialty insurance
Proven success delivering business value through analytics and AI initiatives
Experience leading two or more cross-functional transformation or strategic delivery programmes
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership
Experience operating in agile delivery environments
Directly managing a team of at least 6 people

Responsibilities

Lead North America Insights & Analytics delivery and value realisation.
Deliver measurable business value through analytics, AI and data products.
Lead AI and advanced analytics initiatives and scale capabilities.
Build strong partnerships with North America underwriting leadership and stakeholders.
Lead and develop high-performing Insights & Analytics teams.
Improve ways of working with agile, product-oriented delivery practices.
Ensure governance, risk management and responsible AI principles are followed.
