Job summary

Northeastern Appliance Service is seeking a curious, creative, and analytical Research & Development Specialist to improve our technical knowledge, develop innovative solutions, and elevate the customer experience. Qualifications

• Degree or relevant coursework in engineering, business, marketing, psychology, design, technology or related field preferred.
• Experience in research, customer experience, creative development, or data analysis is a plus.
• Strong research, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Research Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances, technical specifications, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Analyze service histories and recurring issues to identify patterns and solutions.
• Develop technical resources and improve diagnostic procedures.
• Organize research into practical tools that improve service quality and efficiency.
• Research and develop creative ways to elevate the customer experience at every touchpoint.
• Design thoughtful, personalized experiences that create lasting memories for customers.

Northeastern Appliance Service is a Factory Certified Service Provider and Premier Partner for Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances. We serve customers throughout the Hudson Valley, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and western Connecticut.

We are seeking a curious, creative, and analytical Research & Development Specialist to improve our technical knowledge, develop innovative solutions, and elevate the customer experience.

This role combines research, problem-solving, and creative thinking. You'll explore ways to improve our service processes while developing thoughtful, personalized experiences that leave lasting impressions on our customers.

Our goal is to go beyond fixing appliances. We want to create exceptional experiences and lasting memories that make customers feel valued long after the service visit.

Industry experience is not required. We value creativity, critical thinking, attention to detail, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Compensation: $25–$30/hour following successful completion of the probationary period. Initial compensation and probationary terms will be discussed during the hiring process.
