Job summary

Sail Biomedicines seeks a Research Associate II to join the Preclinical Manufacturing team, supporting RNA and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) production for preclinical studies. As part of the Technical Operations group, you will contribute directly to the development and delivery of preclinical materials for both internal and partnered programs.

This hands-on, lab-based role requires strong experimental execution, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree with lab-based experience in RNA/LNP production and purification
• Hands-on experience with RNA/DNA production, purification, and characterization
• Familiarity with chromatography, TFF, and analytical methods is required or preferred

Responsibilities

• Support production of RNA cargo molecules and LNP formulations for preclinical studies
• Perform hands-on lab work for eRNA synthesis, purification, and LNP encapsulation
• Contribute to development, optimization, and scale-up of RNA/LNP processes
• Operate and maintain lab instruments (AKTA, TFF, PCR, HPLC, UV-Vis)
• Characterize and quantify RNA and nucleic acids; document results in ELN
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals
