Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with 3+ years industry experience.
• M.S. with 7+ years or B.S. with 9+ years of industry experience.
• Experience developing, qualifying, validating, and transferring analytical methods in biotech/pharma.
• Strong background in analytical development for biologics, nucleic acid therapeutics, lipid nanoparticles, or gene therapies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, optimization, qualification, and transfer of analytical methods for RNA drug substance and lipid nanoparticle products.
• Design studies to characterize product quality attributes (purity, potency, identity).
• Develop phase-appropriate analytical methods and performance criteria.
• Troubleshoot analytical challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Lead investigations of impurities, degradation pathways, and method performance issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to advance program goals.
• Evaluate new analytical technologies to improve robustness and throughput.
• Author and review analytical procedures, protocols, reports, and study summaries.
• Maintain documentation in ELNs and data management systems.
• Analyze complex datasets and present findings to stakeholders for decision-making.
• Manage multiple priorities and drive deliverables to schedule.
• Stay current with literature, regulatory guidance, and advances in RNA therapeutics and analytics.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior scientists.
