Job summary

Sail Biomedicines seeks a Senior Scientist to lead analytical method development and transfer for RNA drug substances and lipid nanoparticle products. You will collaborate across analytical development, process development, manufacturing, and product characterization to enable preclinical and clinical progress.

The role requires strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to translate analytical insights into program decisions with meaningful patient impact.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./M.S./B.S. with extensive experience in analytical method development for biotech/pharma environments.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and transfer analytical methods across product stages.
• Strong background in biologics, nucleic acid therapeutics, lipid nanoparticles, or related modalities.
• Hands-on experience with multiple analytical techniques listed.
• Ability to design experiments and drive studies to completion.
• Experience supporting product characterization and stability studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, optimization, qualification, and transfer of analytical methods for RNA drug substance and lipid nanoparticle products.
• Design and execute studies to characterize product quality attributes.
• Develop phase-appropriate methods and performance criteria.
• Troubleshoot analytical challenges and develop data-driven solutions.
• Lead investigations of impurities and degradation pathways.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to advance program goals.
• Evaluate new analytical technologies to improve robustness and throughput.
• Draft and review procedures, reports, and summaries.
