Job summary

Beam Therapeutics is seeking a Contract Research Associate on the LNP Sciences team in Cambridge, MA. The role focuses on the production and characterization of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations and targeted LNPs (tLNP) using a range of analytical methods.

Responsibilities include executing assays (DLS, HPLC/FPLC, ELISA), preparing samples, recording data, and collaborating across functions to meet project timelines. Strong wet-lab skills and data integrity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field with hands-on wet-lab research experience.
• Experience with at least two analytical platforms (HPLC/FPLC, DLS, plate-based assays, ELISA, Coulter counter).
• Prior experience with targeting ligands, ADCs, or high-throughput methods is a plus.
• Attention to detail, data integrity, and ability to follow protocols independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute analytical assays to generate reproducible characterization data for LNP/tLNP formulations.
• Prepare LNP samples and test articles per defined protocols, ensuring throughput and data quality.
• Record, organize, and report experimental results in a timely manner.
• Maintain an accurate electronic lab notebook and collaborate with team members to meet timelines.
• Present results and observations in team meetings.
