Job summary

Michaels is seeking a store associate at our SLC-OGDEN, UT location to deliver friendly customer service and help customers find what they’re looking for. You will ensure fast checkout, assist with omnichannel programs, and participate in truck unload and stocking to maintain a well-merchandised store.

Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience. The role involves standing for long periods, lifting, and possible night/weekend shifts in a public retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Responsible to complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return / go back process and general store recovery to ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store.
