Job summary

John H Carter / ControlWorx in Geismar, LA is seeking a mechanically minded professional to handle RFQs, provide technical support, and manage project quotations within an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial environment – preferably an industrial internship.
• A non-degreed candidate with a high mechanical aptitude may be considered.
• In absence of a degree, experience in a similar role in the chemical, petrochemical, refining or oil & gas industries may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Receive phone calls and emails from external & internal customers which must be handled on a timely basis. Information handled will typically include RFQ’s, technical assistance/support, equipment manufacturer support, technical product support, delivery expediting, etc.
• Manage multiple project inquiries and project quotations
• Facilitate customer application requirements for their assembly, sizing and product selection
• Attend required and preferred training
• Participate in an after-hours and weekend ‘On-Call’ rotation
• Accurately complete quotes, order entry and purchase orders
• Always build and cultivate solid relationships
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, regardless of location
• Some travel may be required
• This job is demanding in terms of knowledge skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. Multi-tasking and the ability to handle and manage interruptions is expected.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.

Education

Bachelor's or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Non-degreed candidate with high mechanical aptitude may be considered
