Job summary

Pape’ Machinery Inc in Sacramento, CA is hiring a Rental Territory Manager to drive sales of our short-term rental fleet. You will operate in a defined territory, promote rentals, and work with the Regional Rental Manager to maximize opportunities.

The role emphasizes calling on customers, fast handling of leads within 24 hours, and building partnerships to grow department revenue, with a compensation package including salary plus commission.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience, preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
• Knowledge and experience of heavy equipment preferred; John Deere knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience of equipment rentals is ideal.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
• Driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Promote the short-term rental fleet within the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the Regional Rental Manager to coordinate rental opportunities and complete required documents.
• Spend at least 80% of time calling on customers and respond to rental leads within 24 hours.
• Build relationships with re-rental partners to increase department revenue and monitor fleet utilization.
