Job summary

Papé Machinery, Inc. – Construction & Forestry Division in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Rental Territory Manager to drive short-term rental sales and promote the fleet within a defined territory.

You will report to the Regional Rental Manager, spend the majority of your time calling on customers, and collaborate to coordinate rental opportunities. Join a team that offers training, strong benefits, and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience, preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
• Knowledge and experience of heavy equipment preferred. John Deere knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience of equipment rentals is ideal.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote the short-term rental fleet to customers in your assigned territory, coordinating with the Regional Rental Manager.
• Spend at least 80% of time calling on customers and processing rental leads within 24 hours of receipt.
• Build relationships with re-rental partners to increase department revenue through re-rentals.
• Monitor fleet usage to identify under-utilized units and manage time/territory to meet department goals.
• Serve in a dynamic, growth-oriented team environment to drive sales in the territory.
