Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. seeks a Rental Shop Technician to diagnose and repair rental and customer equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

You will perform tune-ups, document work orders, and support safety and operational workflow while ensuring quality repairs. Ideal candidates possess strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read manuals, work with minimal supervision, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and follow manuals and instructions.
• Read, analyze and interpret technical information and repair manuals.
• Write service reports clearly and communicate with customers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical deficiencies on diesel engines and components.
• Repair or replace components of heavy/light equipment and electrical systems.
• Determine repair scope and prepare service orders.
• Tune up engines and diagnose computer controls and A/C components.
• Perform welding and fabrication; modify parts and attachments.
• Complete all documentation with time sheets and parts orders.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures.
