Qualifications

• Knowledge of complex hydraulics, electrical, computer and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Read, analyzes and communicates technical information clearly.
• Read and follow operator manuals and repair manuals.
• Operate equipment safely with required licenses and certificates.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment diesel engines and components.
• Repair/replace components of frames, suspensions, electrical systems and drive trains.
• Determine extent of repairs and prepare service orders.
• Tune engines and diagnose computer controls and air conditioning components.
• Perform welding and fabricating as needed and document work orders accurately.
• Adhere to safety standards and provide timely reporting of time sheets and parts orders.
• Support safety programs and assist management with workflow improvements.
