Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking a Rental Shop Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on rental and customer equipment. You will support safety programs and help improve workflow to deliver high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, read manuals, document work orders, and work well in a team. A high school diploma is preferred; diesel experience and welding skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of complex hydraulics, electrical, computer and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate equipment safely, follow instructions, read manuals, and keep records.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment diesel engines and components.
• Repair and/or replace components of frame assemblies, drive trains, electrical systems, and braking systems.
• Determine extent of repairs and prepare service orders; tune engines and diagnose controls.
• Perform welding and fabrications; complete all documentation accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain timely work records.
• Assist in safety programs and other duties as assigned by manager.
