Job summary

Alta Equipment Group, the largest equipment dealer in North America, is seeking a full-time Rental Manager at our Orland Park, IL branch to lead the branch's rental operations and drive profitability.

You will oversee inbound calls, credit processes, contracts, fleet management, and cross-functional collaboration with Service, Sales, and Transportation to ensure seamless rental experiences. The role offers a competitive base salary, strong benefits, and career growth with a day-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ rental department experience.
• Clear understanding of Rental Department activities.
• Strong problem solving, administration and management skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive all incoming rental calls and vet leads with sales.
• Set up new customers, credit applications, rental forms, COIs.
• Manage rental contracts, COIs in ERP and SignNow when needed.
• Oversee rental fleet, transfers, and logistics with Transportation Coordinator.
• Process rental payments and refunds; handle insurance claims.
• Prepare and review service work orders and E-inspect for damage.
• Monitor receivables, credit protocols, and occasional invoicing.
• Report via PowerBI on utilization, maintenance, and freight recovery.
• Participate in weekly rental calls and drive department improvements.
