Alta Equipment Group in Burton, MI is seeking a full-time Rental Coordinator to support daily equipment rentals, coordinate pick-ups, and manage inventory for our rental department.

The role focuses on customer relationships, advising on equipment selection, and supporting the outside sales team, while upholding Alta's Guiding Principles.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of construction experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• One year of construction experience preferred.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Upbeat & positive attitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction equipment or similar industry.
• Good computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Language skills to speak before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer relationships.
• Coordinate daily equipment rentals.
• Assist customers that walk into the branch.
• Provide customers with expert advice on equipment selection.
• Support outside sales team.
• Manage fleet availability, utilization and returns.
• Close rental deals from inbound inquiries/leads.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
