Job summary

Alta Equipment Group in Williamsburg, MI seeks a Sales and Rental Manager to lead our sales and rental operations, driving revenue growth for the Kubota brand. The role blends leadership, planning, and hands-on involvement in marketing initiatives, inventory selection, and customer engagement.

The candidate will supervise the Sales and Rental department, manage P&L for sales, and drive market penetration with strong communication and CRM proficiency.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in construction equipment or related industries.
• Proven success in driving market share growth and managing rental operations.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Strong understanding of equipment applications, customer buying cycles, and territory management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
• Computer programs: Word processing, spreadsheets, accounting, and equipment software.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operations of the Sales and Rental department.
• Drive business to meet forecasted goals while adding growth.
• P&L responsibility for Sales Departments.
• Oversee kits inventory and order fulfillment.
• Foster positive customer and employee relations.
• Review work orders, invoices and customer quotes.
• Ensure service vehicles and facility are maintained.
• Contribute to marketing initiatives and territory planning.
