Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring a Rental Associate for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 in Colorado. You’ll deliver world-class guest service in our retail shops, assist customers with rental equipment, and explain operation and safety to guests.

The role offers part-time hours, flexible scheduling including nights and weekends, and a starting wage of $20 per hour. Housing is not provided.

Job Summary

Rental associates are responsible for generating sales through world‑class guest service, assisting customers with rental equipment, and providing guests with gear and services for the ultimate outdoor experience.

Job Specifications

Job Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service at one of our retail shops
• Fit guests with equipment – training provided
• Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment, safety practices, and guest responsibility during the rental, including length of rental and return options
• Work together with teammates to maintain safety standard
• May include other duties such as cashiering, retail sales
• Other duties as assigned

Role

A Rental Associate team member is a flexible employee who often works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one resort mentality, which could include:

• Mountain Activities
• Retail Rental operations
• Food and Beverage Support
• Ticket sales or scanning
• Lift Operations
• Base Area Operations

The expected pay range is $20/hr. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
