Job summary

Vail Resorts in Vermont seeks friendly Rental Associates to deliver world-class guest service in our rental shops. You’ll fit guests with equipment, explain operation and safety, and support teammates across departments to ensure a memorable mountain experience.

We offer a starting wage of $20.00/hr, with Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 openings, full-time and part-time hours, and housing availability. Applicants must be 18+, fluent in English, and able to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, move and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English communication required.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

Rental associates are responsible for generating sales through world-class guest service, assisting customers with rental equipment and providing our guests with gear and services for the ultimate outdoor experience.

Job Specifications

• Starting Wage: $20.00/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service at one of our retail shops
• Fit guests with equipment - we’ll train you!
• Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment, safety practices, and guest responsibility for the equipment during the rental including length of rental and return options
• Work together with teammates to maintain safety standard
• May include other duties such as cashiering, retail sales

Role

A Rental Associate team member is a flexible employee who often works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one resort mentality which could include one of the following:

• Mountain Activities
• Retail Rental operations
• Food and Beverage Support
• Ticket sales or scanning
• Lift Operations
• Base Area Operations

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
