Job summary

Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Crested Butte, CO is hiring a Rental Associate to deliver world-class guest service in our retail shops. You will help guests select rental gear, fit equipment, and explain operation and safety while working with a dynamic team.

This winter seasonal role offers starting wage of $20 per hour, flexible full-time or part-time shifts, housing options, and benefits such as ski passes, employee discounts, and training opportunities. Must be 18+ and fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Commitment to exceptional Customer Service.
• Maintain a working knowledge of products and trends within the industry.
• Ability to stand and move in an active, team-oriented environment for extended periods.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service at one of our retail shops.
• Fit guests with equipment - we'll train you!
• Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment, safety practices, and guest responsibility for the equipment during the rental including length of rental and return options.
• Work together with teammates to maintain safety standard.
• May include other duties such as cashiering, retail sales.
• Other duties as assigned.

Rental associates are responsible for generating sales through world-class guest service, assisting customers with rental equipment and providing our guests with gear and services for the ultimate outdoor experience.

A Rental Associate team member is a flexible employee who often works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one resort mentality which could include one of the following:

• Mountain Activities


• Retail Rental operations


• Food and Beverage Support


• Ticket sales or scanning


• Lift Operations


• Base Area Operations

The expected pay range is$20/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
