Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services in Denver seeks a seasoned Renewal Underwriter to review, underwriting and rate renewal business for clients. You will collaborate with Retail Producers and Account Managers, gather required information, and coordinate with carriers to quote, price, define coverages, and set commissions.

The role requires six plus years in insurance, a valid license, and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six (6) or more years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of insurance industry; Valid Insurance License; must meet license renewal requirements; DL in state.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites a renewal book of business in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborates with brokers/agents to negotiate renewal terms and maintain strong business relationships.
• Analyzes policies and endorsements to identify errors, omissions or discrepancies to ensure agreement with application, quote, proposal, and/or binder.
• Issues policies and endorsements; binds coverage and coordinates binders/evidences.
• Maintains and manages renewal spreadsheet and prepares policy delivery documents.
• Services Renewal Underwriter calls and answers questions regarding client coverage, limits and deductibles.
• Maintains files for renewal submissions and written or lost business; follows up with clients.
• Maintains data integrity in agency management system and ensures complete and accurate information.
