Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks experienced Safety Managers (I–III) for renewables construction, traveling nationwide. Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing the Safety Program across projects, ensuring compliance with MSHA/OSHA and environmental requirements.

Role involves 60% field time, leading safety committees, incident reviews, drug testing, and training; compensation up to $120k/year, per diem, vehicle provided, and opportunity to work across MasTec units.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of construction safety experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Functional computer skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• CHST or other BCSP certification preferred; obtain CHST within 1 year of start.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all safety program aspects on complex construction projects.
• Lead safety committees and chair meetings; present results to management.
• Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and enforce corrective actions.
• Administer drug and alcohol testing on site and manage incident reports.
• Travel 60% to project sites; spend 8-12 months per project.
• Develop and maintain site safety plans and Emergency Response procedures.
• Coordinate safety training and ensure regulatory compliance.
