Job summary

NTH Consultants, Ltd. in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking an Electrical Renewables Project Engineer to lead bids, designs, and client relationships in utility-scale solar, BESS, and EV charging projects. This ground-floor opportunity builds the new Electrical Engineering Power and Utilities Division.

You will develop standards, mentor staff, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams while traveling to sites as needed. A Michigan P.E.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with concentration in power, controls or renewables preferred.
• Michigan PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 4+ years in electrical power, renewables, construction, or industrial maintenance.
• 2+ years design/project experience in renewable energy and BESS.
• Experience with PVsyst or similar modeling tools.
• Ability to read complex electrical drawings and create designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and identify repeat-work opportunities.
• Prepare contract documents, designs, and specifications for utility-scale PV, BESS, and EV charging projects.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, plans, specs, and reports.
• Lead project meetings and track schedule, budget, and invoicing.
• Mentor staff engineers and develop technical leadership in renewables.
• Coordinate design with multidisciplinary teams and develop design standards.
