Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering is seeking a mid-level Renewable Development Engineer to design PV, BESS, and Wind projects (0–30%) across the United States. You will collaborate with internal Operations, Sales, and external clients to develop electrical and civil layouts and feasibility studies.

The role requires 2–6 years of experience, a bachelor’s in an engineering field, and proficiency with PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVCase, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Civil Engineering; energy/power focus preferred.
• 2–6 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• FE license is a plus but not required.
• Experience with energy modeling using PVsyst is required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and PVCase is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design PV, BESS, and Wind projects across the US.
• Serve as liaison between design teams and stakeholders.
• Deliver preliminary 0–30% engineering designs.
• Create preliminary cable, civil, and layout designs.
• Provide high-level BOMs for civil and electrical materials.
• Coordinate with Proposal team for pricing and schedules.
• Support team with client relationships and project execution.
