Job summary

NTH Consultants, Ltd. is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead our Electrical Engineering Power and Utilities division. You will drive growth in renewable energy, BESS, substations, and large-scale projects, while mentoring staff and shaping technical standards.

You will develop client relationships, win work, and oversee scope, technical approach, and project execution, including field work in Michigan and collaboration across Northville, Grand Rapids, or Lansing offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer licensure in Michigan or ability to obtain licensure by reciprocity.
• 15+ years of technical leadership & BD in electrical power.
• Design experience in utility-scale PV, BESS, interconnections, substations.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth for Renewable Energy, BESS, substations and related projects.
• Develop and win engineering work, manage client relationships and accounts.
• Provide technical leadership, QA/QC oversight, and staff mentoring.
• Guide project scoping, staffing, budgeting, and risk management.
• Serve as senior technical authority on renewables and substations.
