Job summary

NTH Consultants, Ltd. is seeking a Project Director based in Grand Rapids or Northville, MI to lead major electrical power projects and drive growth across our markets. The role requires deep technical leadership, strong client advocacy, and a track record in BESS, solar, or substations.

You will manage complex engagements, mentor teams, and help shape the electrical engineering division while traveling to job sites and client meetings in Michigan as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited college or university.
• Professional registration in Michigan or the ability to attain reciprocity.
• 15+ years of leadership in electrical power engineering/consulting; client advocate or account management experience.
• Design experience with BESS, Solar, and/or Electric Substations.
• Field experience in renewables or electric substations preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to interact with clients and teams.
• Willingness to travel within Michigan; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex projects and act as trusted advisor to clients across markets.
• Lead client acquisition and account growth, expanding existing relationships.
• Support project managers and ensure high-quality deliverables and services.
• Partner with Electrical Engineering leadership to position NTH for market growth.
• Manage all aspects of a project, including financial and technical components.
• Provide senior technical authority on electrical power systems and interconnection design.
