Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering is seeking a mid-level Renewable Development Engineer to lead preliminary PV, BESS, and Wind designs (0–30%) across the US. You will coordinate with Operations, Sales, and external clients, ensuring feasibility and adherence to client requirements while building strong stakeholder relationships.

The role supports both in-office Lakewood, CO and remote work arrangements, with travel typical for project coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Civil Engineering (electric power option preferred).
• 2–6 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• FE/PE licensure is a plus but not required.
• Experience with energy modeling using PVsyst.
• Experience with AutoCAD and PVCase.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers and internal personnel.

Responsibilities

• Design PV, BESS and Wind projects across the US.
• Collaborate with internal Operations and Sales stakeholders and external clients.
• Deliver preliminary PV/BESS/Wind designs (0–30%).
• Develop preliminary level cable and DC design, civil grading and drainage.
