Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in the Renewables Division to support experienced project managers on complex and multi-service projects. The role focuses on planning, stakeholder engagement, team coordination, and timely invoicing and AR collection to drive project success.

You will manage small/single-service projects, assist with proposals, and ensure quality and contractual compliance while collaborating with service leadership and client managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a project coordinator or similar role.
• Professional licensure in a technical field, CAPM, or related certification.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall project manager or take full accountability for small/single-service projects.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, internal and external.
• Coordinate and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication.
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Oversee project work to ensure it is completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and contractual requirements.
• Monitor project health and take corrective action as needed.
• Manage uncertainty and change, including scope creep and change orders.
• Ensure timely invoicing and collection of accounts receivable.
• Coordinate and assist in the preparation of proposals for single- and multi-service projects.
• Collaborate with service leadership and client managers in reviewing proposal and pricing strategy.
• Manage the contracting process, including term negotiation led by others.
• Facilitate project meetings and distribute minutes and action logs.
• Represent the organization in communications related to assigned projects.
