Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Permit Project Coordinator- Renewables for a 1-year contract, to manage permitting for solar, wind, battery storage and related transmission projects. You will work directly with Authorities Having Jurisdiction to obtain all necessary permits and ensure timely project progression.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in permitting or regulatory compliance in a corporate environment.
• Experience with renewable energy construction permitting.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Understanding of building codes and permitting processes.
• May require occasional travel to project sites and regulatory offices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage permit applications for renewable energy construction projects across multiple jurisdictions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local AHJs to facilitate the permitting process.
• Interpret and apply local building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements.
• Prepare and review permit applications and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, development and project management teams.
• Track and report permit status and ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
• Coordinate permit activity timelines in alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Identify and assess permit risks, develop mitigation strategies and report to project team.
• Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, and related communications.
• Attend pre-application meetings with regulatory agencies when necessary.
• Keep project teams informed of permitting timelines and requirements.
