Job summary

Westinghouse Electric seeks a Permit Project Coordinator for a 1-year contract to manage the permitting process for renewable energy facilities, including solar, wind, and storage, working with AHJs. Travel to project sites and regulatory offices may be required; reporting to the onsite manager in Juno Beach, FL.

This W-2 role offers a competitive hourly rate. The position requires 5+ years in permitting or regulatory compliance, experience with energy-related constructions, and strong knowledge

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in permitting/regulatory roles in corporate settings.
• Experience with renewable energy construction permitting (solar/wind/storage).
• Understanding of local building codes and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage permit applications for renewable energy construction projects across multiple jurisdictions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local AHJs to facilitate the permitting process.
• Interpret and apply local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Prepare and review permit applications and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, development, and project management teams.
• Track and report permit status to ensure timely submission of documentation.
• Coordinate permit activity timelines with the overall project schedule.
• Identify permit risks, develop mitigation strategies, and report to the project team.
• Maintain records of permit applications, approvals, and communications.
• Attend pre-application meetings with regulatory agencies.
• Keep project teams informed of permitting timelines and requirements.
