Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC through WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Permit Project Coordinator for a 1-year W-2 contract to manage and facilitate permitting for renewable energy facilities, including solar, wind, and storage, working with AHJs across jurisdictions.

You may travel to project sites occasionally, report to the onsite manager, and coordinate permit timelines with engineering and construction teams to ensure timely documentation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate permitting/regulatory environment
• Experience with renewable energy construction permitting
• Understanding of building codes and permitting processes

Responsibilities

• Coordinate permit applications for renewable energy construction across jurisdictions
• Develop and maintain relationships with AHJs to facilitate permitting
• Interpret and apply local building codes and environmental requirements
• Prepare and review permit documents and supporting data
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, development and project management
• Track permit status and ensure timely submission of documents
• Coordinate permit activity timelines with the project schedule
• Identify permit risks and report mitigation plans
• Maintain records of permit communications and approvals
• Attend pre-application meetings with regulatory agencies
• Keep teams informed about permitting timelines and requirements
