Job summary

ENGIE in Houston seeks an Asset Management Advisor to oversee wind, solar and storage assets across North America, driving profitability and strategic value.

You will manage P&L for assigned assets, support annual planning, coordinate with Trading and Operations, manage contracts (PPAs, O&M), monitor KPIs and align maintenance with financial goals. This hybrid role requires a 7+ year background in energy markets and strong finance and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Seven years of experience in asset management, energy markets, or related energy sector role.
• Experience with energy market structures, ISO protocols, and operating power generation assets (wind/solar/storage).
• Commercial acumen with contracts including PPAs and operational agreements.
• Strong understanding of energy market operations and asset profitability and risk.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder management.
• Desire to advance renewable energy deployment.

Responsibilities

• Manage P&L performance for assigned operating assets, including financial results and profitability drivers.
• Support annual business planning, insurance, and internal forecasting through asset-level analysis.
• Collaborate with ENGIE Trading and Energy Management on market bidding strategies and value creation.
• Manage commercial agreements and related obligations (PPAs, O&M, asset contracts).
• Monitor asset KPIs and coordinate with Operations to align maintenance with goals.
• Coordinate ISO/RTO protocols and cross-team collaboration to resolve asset-related issues.
• Support new assets during transition periods, including handover from construction to operations.
