Job summary

EDF power solutions North America is seeking an Associate Asset Manager to monitor operational and financial performance of renewable assets in the region. You will work on asset management processes for wind, solar, storage, and other projects, focusing on ensuring compliance with contracts, safety, and uptime.

The role involves financial analysis, budgeting, risk tracking, and collaboration with accounting, valuations, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree and a minimum of 1 -3 years of applicable working experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Understands the principles of sustainability and available renewable energy resources.
• Able to identify renewable energy technologies and explain how an asset coverts resource into MWhs.
• Exceptional analytical skills (data crunching, deciphering the data and connecting the dots with financial modeling experience being a bonus)
• Previous accounting or finance training preferred.
• Ability to read and understand contracts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Familiarity with enterprise data management tools (SAP) is a plus.
• Above average skills with excel, Tableau, Python, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Financial analyses and support: understand GAAP/IFRS basics, gather resources for annual budgets, monitor cash flow and flag negative trends.
• Performance monitoring support: track project performance and assist in business case development for performance improvements.
• Contract & regulatory support: know contracts and permits impacting operations and assist compliance activities.
• Operational awareness: understand availability calculations and maintenance needs; liaise with engineering and operations teams.
• Stakeholder management support: collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize performance and compliance.
• Other duties: ad hoc analysis, research, initiatives and presentations to support regional success.
