ENGIE North America is seeking a Business Development - M&A Advisor (Utility-Scale Renewables) to drive origination, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of acquisitions and strategic investments across wind, solar, energy storage, and emerging technologies.

You will lead financial modeling, commercial assessments, and due diligence, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver executive-ready memoranda and governance materials for internal approvals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience within the energy industry, including renewable energy development, business development, project acquisitions, project finance, investment banking, energy trading, consulting, utilities, or IPPs.
  • Experience leading or supporting complex M&A, investment, development, or strategic transactions within the energy sector.
  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience evaluating investment opportunities and developing actionable business recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to develop polished, executive-ready analyses, presentations, and investment materials; experience with Power BI, Think-Cell, or similar tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the origination, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, and strategic investments across ENGIE's renewable energy portfolio.
  • Develop and analyze financial models, valuations, commercial assessments, and investment scenarios to support transaction structuring, pricing, and investment decisions.
  • Manage transaction processes from initial assessment through closing, coordinating cross-functional internal teams and external advisors while driving key project milestones.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and due diligence efforts, identifying risks, opportunities, and value drivers while securing favorable contractual and financial terms.
  • Prepare executive-level investment memoranda, presentations, and governance materials that support internal approvals and strategic decision-making.
  • Support the growth of ENGIE's development pipeline by evaluating greenfield development opportunities, market expansion strategies, and emerging technology investments across wholesale power markets.
  • Design and enhance analytical tools, dashboards, reporting processes, and workflow solutions that improve visibility, decision-making, and operational efficiency across Business Development and M&A activities.
