Job summary

Solar Landscape is seeking a motivated EPC Counsel to join its legal team and support a broad range of commercial contracts and legal matters related to the development, construction, procurement, and operation of commercial solar and energy storage projects.

This role is ideal for a proactive attorney who enjoys working collaboratively across business functions, takes ownership of their work, and is interested in developing expertise in the renewable energy industry.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active state bar.
• 2+ years of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience in construction, procurement, renewable energy, or in-house legal department preferred.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills with practical business sense.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines and escalate issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate EPC and related contracts; maintain templates.
• Advise internal teams on project delays, change orders, warranties, and performance.
• Identify contractual risks and provide practical recommendations.
• Research federal, state, and local requirements including wage, permits, and tax credits.
• Support with O&M, asset management, and other commercial agreements.
• Assist with disputes, claims, and coordination with outside counsel.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Construction, Engineering, Development, Operations, Finance.
