Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer – Renewable Energy to support the Renewable Energy Team in Chicago, IL. You will deliver fit-for-purpose civil designs for permitting or construction, ensuring on-schedule, on-budget outcomes aligned with project objectives.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and Technical Leads, oversee design QA/QC, and manage scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables while guiding teams through all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Civil Engineer in IL or surrounding states.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design outputs on time, within budget, and aligned with project scope.
• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams within a matrix environment.
• Define technical delivery approach, resource needs, and execution plans.
• Coordinate design reviews and ensure alignment with quality, safety, and PM standards.
• Mentor and support technical staff development and contribute to proposals and client materials.
