Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Englewood, CO is seeking a Renewables Civil Project Engineer to design and deliver permitting and construction documents for renewable energy projects.

The role requires applying engineering knowledge to complete projects independently and to mentor staff engineers and technicians. You will collaborate with design teams, ensure compliance with codes, support Lead Engineers, and grow your understanding of the project lifecycle while working on

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• 2–4 years of civil engineering experience in the A&E industry.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience managing design staff is a plus.
• Interest in renewable energy development.

Responsibilities

• Complete designs and deliverables to support permitting, designing, and construction of renewable energy projects.
• Collaborate with and direct design team members to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Provide directions for Staff Engineers and Technicians.
• Support Lead Engineers and cover in their absence.
• Develop understanding of project lifecycle for your technical area.
• Apply broad engineering principles to project work.
• Independently evaluate and adapt standard techniques.
• Gain specialized knowledge through mentored experiences.
• Work on multidisciplinary teams and uphold company standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to uphold consistency.
