Job summary

Farnsworth Group Inc. seeks a Renewable Energy Civil Engineer to join our team in the St. Louis area.

You will work with seasoned engineers on solar, battery storage (BESS), and wind projects, spanning site layout, grading, roads, drainage, and hydrologic modeling from due diligence through final design and record drawings. The role offers opportunities to serve as Project Manager on multiple renewable energy projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across offices.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS or MS in Civil Engineering required.
• 5–10 years of civil engineering experience.
• 2+ years in solar, BESS, wind or renewables preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and offices.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering design and technical support for renewable energy projects from concept to final design and construction.
• Prepare and review civil design plans and related documents.
• Manage projects working with the Client’s project manager.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and agencies.
• Conduct project field observations and condition assessments.
• Collaborate with Farnsworth Group disciplines and consultants.
• Communicate with clients about current and future projects.
