Job summary

Southern Power is seeking an Engineer/Analyst in Renewable Asset Management to oversee the financial, operational and strategic performance of solar and wind assets. Responsibilities include tracking revenue and expenses, maintaining Budgets/forecasts, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

The role supports lifecycle optimization, due diligence for acquisitions and development, and collaboration with O&M teams to ensure high asset availability. Travel to multiple facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of power plant operations, project engineering, financial modeling, or asset management, preferably in renewables.

Responsibilities

• Track and analyze revenue, expenses and asset profitability.
• Maintain awareness of budgets, forecasts and financial reports for assets.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings or revenue optimization.
• Maximize value and efficiency of renewable assets over their lifecycle.
• Monitor performance of renewable energy assets and coordinate with O&M teams.
• Support O&M contract development and regulatory compliance for facilities.
• Produce regular performance reports and benchmark against industry standards.
• Engage with multiple stakeholders to align asset performance with company goals.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred
