Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a Private Access Engineer to support, operate, and improve our private access services, including Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). You will troubleshoot access, onboard applications, and work with internal teams to enhance reliability and user experience.

You will collaborate with identity, networking, cloud, security, and support teams, document procedures, monitor service health, and contribute to architectural discussions and incident response while adhering to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years related experience.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• ZPA or similar Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) experience preferred.
• Strong DNS/TCP/IP and network troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/operational support for ZPA, onboarding, lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and service improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and reliability.
• Design and implement secure private access solutions with application owners and infrastructure teams.
• Troubleshoot complex application-access issues including authentication and connectivity.
• Configure and support private access technologies (application segments, access policies, connector groups, identity integrations).
• Onboard new applications/services to the private access platform with good user experience and security adherence.
• Collaborate with identity, networking, cloud, security, server, and support teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and implementation standards.
• Monitor service health, analyze trends, propose improvements to reliability and scalability.
• Build productive relationships with vendors and stakeholders to support operations and initiatives.
• Own issues from report to resolution; contribute to architectural discussions and incident response.
