Placements24 seeks a Youth Empowerment Coordinator to design and manage remote programs empowering South Africa's youth. You will create engaging curricula, run virtual workshops, and mentor participants from a distributed team.

Ideal candidates bring experience in youth work or education, strong virtual facilitation skills, and a passion for social impact. This remote, part-time role supports schools and communities across SA with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth work, education, or program coordination, preferably in a remote setting.
• Understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing youth in South Africa.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, particularly in a virtual context.
• Proficiency with digital collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, online learning platforms).
• Creative and innovative approach to program design and delivery.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A degree or diploma in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
• Passion for empowering youth and fostering positive social change.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging programs focused on youth empowerment, skill development, and leadership training.
• Coordinate and facilitate virtual workshops, webinars, and mentorship sessions for young participants.
• Develop educational resources and materials tailored to the needs of young people.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and mentors to support program activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, community centers, and other youth-serving organizations.
• Monitor program participation and outcomes, collecting feedback for continuous improvement.
• Manage program logistics, including scheduling virtual events and participant communication.
• Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in youth development and empowerment.
• Assist in the development of grant proposals and fundraising initiatives related to youth programs.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive virtual environment for all participants.
